Correction
With apologies:
Electrical Waste Recycling – Figures were incorrect in the July Minutes, which would under normal circumstances be quietly corrected but in this case the numbers are so impressive that it’s worth shouting abut.
We stated in the Minutes that 500kg of materials had now been sent to SWEEEP and in fact it is an impressive 5,500kgs!
We also stated that the Salvation Army were recipients of some of the over 300 items, when in fact it is Sunflower House, who repair items that are then given to the various local charities – so everyone wins.
Minuted correction:
Mick Williamson reported that 5500kg of materials had now been sent to SWEEEP in Sittingbourne. Alison requested that another visit should be arranged.
Action point 2: Jonathan Ryan/Mick Williamson to arrange a visit to SWEEEP.
Amanda Lowman added that over 300 items had been given to Pilgrims Hospice, Cancer Research, British Heart Foundation and Sunflower House. In addition, small amounts were being supplied to CeX, the electronics retail and repair store.
