The Beacon will be lit to mark the 80th Anniversary of D Day, when Allied forces mounted the largest amphibious invasion the world has ever seen. Beacons will be lit in Normandy, United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Isle of Man with 'The International Tribute' being read at the same time as the lighting.
