Dr Andrew Richardson fascinating talk on Folkestone and District in the Kingdom of Kent.

Are delighted to have Dr Richardson coming to give a talk which will place Folkestone (and Eanswith) in the wide context of the ‘district of the Limen’ (by Domesday the ‘Lathe of Lympne), exploring what we know about this area during the time of the Kingdom of Kent (late fifth to early ninth centuries AD) and the Anglo-Saxon period in general. It will include a look not only at Folkestone but key sites including Lyminge, Lympne, Saltwood and Stowting, and the relationships between them.

The talk will follow a brief AGM which commences at 6.00p.m. Admission Free.
